Highlights of the Event
The 135th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) commenced on April 15, 2024. Taishan Group was represented by Jia Fengjun and Li Jieqiong at the first phase of this significant event. Compared to the previous fair, both the scale and number of attendees saw a substantial increase.
Post-Pandemic Recovery
In 2023, due to the recent end of the pandemic, various measures were still in place, resulting in a significant drop in visitor numbers compared to pre-pandemic levels. However, the 135th Canton Fair marked the first large-scale event post-pandemic with the complete lifting of entry restrictions, attracting a surge of international buyers. This year’s attendance nearly reached pre-pandemic levels, drawing buyers from nearly 100 countries and regions.
Increased International Interest
During this fair, Taishan Group welcomed nearly 100 visitors, showing a significant increase from the previous session. The geographical distribution of customers also shifted, with a notable concentration of buyers from South America (e.g., Chile, Brazil, Colombia), Central Asia (e.g., Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan), Russian-speaking countries, India/Pakistan, and various African nations. The main products of interest included biomass boilers, oil and gas boilers, LPG storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
Product Inquiries and Potential Collaborations
Throughout the exhibition, our team exchanged contact information with numerous interested buyers. Several buyers expressed preliminary cooperation intentions and scheduled post-fair visits to our facilities for further discussions and inspections.
Follow-Up and Next Steps
Currently, we are actively following up with the customers who visited our booth, providing them with detailed company and product information as per their requests. Our goal is to swiftly convert the leads and interests generated during the fair into tangible business outcomes.
